Alton P. Parker
Al is an Area Production Manager for Wake Stone overseeing the Knightdale and Triangle Quarries. In this role he advises and assists the Superintendents at the company’s Wake County operations with strategic planning and daily operations.
A grandson of company founder John Bratton, Al began his career at Wake Stone in 1988 as a truck driver and quickly worked his way up to a Master Blaster, Pit Foreman, Superintendent of Moncure Quarry, and then Superintendent of Knightdale Quarry – a position he held for fifteen years overseeing substantial growth of the company’s largest operation. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Horticulture.
In the community, Al is an avid supporter of programs that help children with special needs. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Helping Horse Therapeutic Riding Program, and volunteers for Together on Center Stage, a theater program providing opportunities for children with special needs.
