Alton P. Parker
Al is the Superintendent of Wake Stone Corporation’s Knightdale Quarry. In this role, he is responsible for the daily operations of the quarry including all pit and plant production, maintenance, safety and environmental compliance, and employee management and training.
A grandson of company founder John Bratton, Al began his career at Wake Stone in 1988 as a truck driver and quickly worked his way up to Master Blaster, Pit Foreman and then Superintendent of the Moncure Quarry before assuming his current position. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Horticulture.
In the community, Al is an avid supporter of programs that help children with special needs. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Helping Horse Therapeutic Riding Program and volunteers for Together on Center Stage, a theater program providing opportunities for children with special needs.
