Latest news on the proposed Triangle Quarry Expansion at RDU

Entry 1: March 2019 – Property Access Preparation

In March, the existing dirt access road was “top-dressed” with crushed stone to allow mobile equipment to access the property without causing land disturbance.

A storage container was also placed on the property for tools and equipment, and security cameras and signs were installed with the intent of preventing vandalism to equipment and for the safety of our crew.

Proposed test hole locations were staked and flagged so that access paths could be prepared for the exploratory drill. In order to minimize our impacts during the due diligence period, existing trails and paths were utilized as much as possible.
